Most people want to believe that when they die, that they will be in Heaven. The reason for this, is that they believe that are basically good people. That God looks at all the good and the bad, and if the good out weighs the bad that they will get in. According to the Bible, God's word, it is not a matter of how good, or bad people are, but if they have made a certain decision. God views all men as sinners, all sin is punished by death, and separation from God for all eternity.
That creates a problem, if all have sinned and come short, who can be saved? The Bible says, that "God is Love", and that "He wants all to come to salvation, and not for any to perrish" , but God's Law states "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God", "For the wages of sin is death". God has set a standard in order to get into Heaven, "be therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect". It is clear, we on our own, cannot enter into Heaven. So what is the answer?
The answer is that God provided us one way, and one way only to be able to enter into Heaven, and that is the decision to accept what his Son, Jesus Christ did on our behalf. "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" It is by accepting that Christ died for our sins, while on the cross, that He, and He alone is the only perfect sacrifice that God would accept for the payment of our sins. "That if you confess with your mouth,"Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved". "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved".
Return to the Home page, and pray that prayer and mean it from your heart, and then you will know that when you die, you will be in Heaven.
